St. Luke’s Hospice’s mission is to provide the highest standards of individualised care for people with life-limiting conditions, palliative and end of life care needs, and their families, living in Basildon and Thurrock districts. We will provide high quality, expert, safe care, which is compassionate, holistic, inclusive and respectful at all times and in all care settings. We work collaboratively with other health and social care providers to ensure the individual’s quality of life is the best it can be and their wishes and preferences are respected.
We respond proactively, positively and with sensitivity to the changing needs of people accessing our services.
We listen and respond to each person, providing holistic, person centred care that meets their individual needs and wishes, with respect and dignity.
We support and respect one another for the benefit of our patients, encouraging everyone to succeed.
We work with trusted partners, to ensure the best quality of care empowering the communities we serve.
We encourage service users, staff and volunteers to be all they can be.
We dedicate ourselves to the needs of our service users, continually committed to provide support in a kind, sensitive and empathetic way.
We will remain focussed on continual learning to deliver excellence and support other professionals, agencies and volunteers to provide high quality holistic palliative care and end of life care.
