MoreLife is a FREE psychologically informed programme available to anyone living in South & West Essex. MoreLife takes a completely different approach to losing weight, helping you to understand and overcome your personal barriers to weight loss. Everyone is treated as an individual with their own journey, own goals and own success. The programme is delivered from community venues in West and South Essex and is led by qualified Weight Management Practitioners. The course, and all support is currently being delivered online (via Zoom due to COVID). There are 12 weekly group sessions, each lasting for an hour and a half, followed by 8 months of maintenance sessions. The MoreLife programme provides: Specialist nutritional assessment & support, Advice around physical activity, Psychological understanding of losing weight & support, Support with emotional eating, sleep, stress & more. If you are 17 or older and: Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or above, Have a BMI of 35 and an obesity-related co-morbidity e.g. Type 2 Diabetes, metabolic syndrome, Hypertension, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, infertility and depression, Have a BMI of 32.5 , type 2 diabetes and of Asian descent, Resident of West Essex or South Essex.
